Investment Management Data Analyst

RiskConcile is a thriving and rapidly growing fintech company based in Leuven. We have built a solid reputation internationally in developing cloud-based solutions for the financial sector with a focus on asset managers based in Luxembourg, London and Ireland, in combination with a significant number of machine learning assignments at home and abroad. To support this growth, we are looking for an enthusiastic data analyst to join our team and to step into the fascinating world and broad ecosystem of stock markets and investment funds.

Job Description

You will be part of a small but driven group of approximately 20 professionals, in which you will fulfill the following assignments within the managed service team:

  • Assist clients (banks, insurance companies, asset managers, hedge funds and private equity) in using our technology.
  • Together with the customer you look for the best way of to get things done.
  • Staying informed of new European legal requirements that impact our customers (risk reporting, climate stress tests, ...) and supporting our software developers in the implementation of these new requirements.
  • Setting up training sessions and writing out documentation regarding our software applications for customers.
  • With a 'data science mind-set' you can apply critical thinking to your analyzes to identify inconsistencies and set up/send actions and follow up internally where necessary.
  • Testing new software developments and formulating proposals
  • For some of our customers, an on-site visit abroad is expected on a regular basis. Traveling abroad does not scare you.

As an analyst you will be given a lot of responsibility and will eventually evolve into a “Subject Matter Expert”. You will be central within RiskConcile (contact with developers, your fellow data scientists and sales) and will become one of the faces to the outside world.

Who are we looking for?

  • Genuine interest in financial markets and up-to-date with financial news. Being an investor in the stock market is certainly a plus.
  • Education: Commercial engineer, Master of applied economics, Master of Mathematics, Master of statistics or similar
  • A little Python knowledge is definitely a step in the right direction.
  • Previous experience is always a plus: Big4 financial services (audit or consulting) or previous work experience at a bank/insurance company.
  • Language: Dutch-speaking with a strong knowledge of English and notions of French.
  • Flexible: you can process new & complex information well.
  • You have a great sense of responsibility and can work independently.
  • An eye for detail and precision.
